Hello Yogis,
Thanks for checking out our site! I am just sitting here, another day at home and on top of everything we have a huge snow storm in Cincinnati. Everyone I talk to has some type of stress with this pandemic, as you know us yogis have a lot of energy and love connecting with our community and traveling and we haven’t been able to do much. As I sit in reflection I am reminded that even in these tough circumstances we must choose happiness every day. I have allowed myself to go thru all the emotions in the recent months, from joy of being home more, (yes its been good to have time off from running a studio full time) to excitement of reaching more yogis from all over the world on my online platform thru Rocket classes and offering Virtual Rocket Trainings virtually to times of anxiety and sadness from missing all my in person connections. What I’ve learned and have known for a long time is that each decision we make has an effect. Every action has a reaction and thru yoga we become more in touch with our heart and what makes us truly happy. To take charge of your happiness, first get rid of toxic people and end toxic relationships, they aren’t good and often don’t get better no matter how much we try and want to see the good in these relationships. They have come into our life to teach us lessons, once the lesson is learned it’s time to move on. Another way to take charge of your joy is to put good things in your body. I’ve been finding joy in cooking healthy and feeding my body food full of nutrients. I suggest making small changes, change out the white rice for a nice wholesome brown rice, cut the carbs out of a couple meals and see how you feel. Also when I think of joy I think about gratitude. Take a moment and say 5 things you are thankful for that really helps me, I do it every morning as I walk with awareness of what my brain is actually thinking. Larry would remind us that our thoughts are make believe, so if you study Rocket you can always go back to the philosophy for guidance. I’ll leave you with this, the buddha teaches impermanence so what is here today will be changed tomorrow , what ever is troubling you, there is a way to find peace and manifest your dreams and vision no matter what! It’s the Rocket ride, its not easy all the time to stand up for yourself and make change but know that you are supported form the universe and the universe is taking care of us in it’s own special way, believe in magic and everything that you can’t see!
